Why should I serve?
God gives us interests and skills that, when put to use, enable us to make a real difference in our church, community and world.
Does Community really need me to volunteer?
ABSOLUTELY! Sometimes we may think that all the needs are being met; it doesn’t look as if there is a need. The truth is, that if our church is going to thrive, each of us needs to use our abilities to join what God is doing in and through people.
I have been attending Community and would like to become involved, but I am not a member. Are non-members permitted to serve?
Some serving positions require membership, but there are many opportunities to serve for those who have not yet joined the church. We would love to have you, and serving is a great way to get to know Community better.
How do I begin serving?
As a new attender here at Community, simply review our First Serve link, choose an area of interest and email Connections Director Stephanie Bringas. You will be contacted with further information. If you’re looking to utilize your abilities in a more committed volunteer role, go to the Community's Most Wanted page, where you will find a link to register online for an ongoing serving role at Community.
What is expected of me?
Expectations vary from role to role. There is a process in place to ensure that you are appropriately trained and equipped for your chosen serve opportunity. The most important thing you can do is show up at the appointed time.
What is the time commitment?
The great news is that you can tailor your serving to fit your schedule and your season of life. There are serving opportunities throughout the week and weekend and some require as little as twenty minutes.
