Due to the current tough economy we have decided to partner with Angel Food Ministries as a way to help our community in this time of need. Through Angel Food, anyone can purchase food and save on their monthly grocery bill. Food ordered by mid month will be delivered to Community the last Saturday of the month. The food is restaurant grade meats, frozen vegetables, fruits and dairy products. One unit of food costs $30 and will feed a family of four for one week, or a senior for one month. Who can participate in Angel Food?
Anyone who would like to save money on their groceries can participate. There are no applications or qualifications to order Angel Food.
Where does the food come from?
Angel Food is “restaurant grade” meats, frozen vegetables, fruits, dairy products, etc. which they acquire through their involvement with only the best producers/vendors of high quality, “name brand” foods. Never “seconds” or “day old” type products are involved.
Is this charity?
No, it is a ministry. Angel Food’s mission is to provide a ‘hand up’ not a ‘hand out’.
Can we order more than one unit or special?
Yes, you can order any of their pre-boxed units and you can order as many units as you would like.
How can I order Angel Food?
Community Christian Church is a host site and orders are now being accepted for delivery here. If paying by Credit Card or Debit Card, place your order on the Angel Food Ministries website. For those not paying with Credit or Debit Card, we will accept orders paid by Money Order or Food Stamps in the church office on Wednesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Sorry, no cash or checks accepted at the church office. Each month has an order cut-off. The order deadline for the March 27 delivery is March 17 at Midnight.
When do I pick up my Angel Food?
Angel Food orders will be available for pick-up at Community on the designated Saturday of each month between 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM. This 2-hour pick-up window is subject to change dependent on the arrival of the Angel Food delivery truck. Email notification will take place if the time changes. Orders placed by Wednesday, March 17 at Midnight will be distributed on Saturday, March 27.
Do I need to bring anything with me on pick up day?
You will need a copy of your order receipt (it is emailed to you after your order has been confirmed) and an empty medium/large cardboard box.
What if I can’t be there or forget to pick up my food on distribution day?
Friends and relatives are allowed to pick-up your order as long as they have your order receipt. All food that is not picked up on distribution day will be donated to a local food pantry, and no refunds will be given.
