One of the most exciting aspects of this campaign will be the special 40 Days Outreach Event that will take place on Saturday, November 18. This special outreach event is the vehicle that will move our church outside of its four walls, and into a world that is in desperate need of the love of Jesus Christ. We will serve together as small groups to show God's love in a very practical way to our community.
As part of 40 Days Outreach Event, we will partner with local benevolent organizations in Broward County to provide volunteers to meet their needs. In the past we have partnered with organizations such as The Salvation Army, Broward Outreach homeless shelters, Cooperative Feeding Program, Covenant Village Retirement Home, among others. Typically we have a number of volunteer opportunities that are family-friendly, where you can serve with your young children.
The church is not our building – it is the people who gather here to seek God in worship, to study God's Word and to use our gifts and abilities to serve each other. Imagine what will happen when our small groups invade the community with the love of Christ and selflessly attempt to meet the needs of those around us. Not asking anything in return, but just serving them out of love for Jesus.
